Portal Overview

After logging in you land on the Portal — the main home screen. It is a grid of tiles, each opening a feature or workflow.

Tile grid

Tiles are grouped by function. The tiles you see depend on your role and what your organization has enabled.

TIP

Access to the Dewatering, Wells, Inspections, and Projects portals is granted per user by an admin. If you need access to one of these, use the Request Access tile.

My Updates

Below the tile grid, the My Updates panel surfaces things that need your attention without you having to go looking for them:

  • Certifications expiring within 30 days show an amber warning; already-expired certifications show in red
  • If you have full or limited access to a Project, updates on that project appear here too — concerns raised or resolved, documents linked, Compliance Checklist uploads, and Work Order additions or edits
  • Each entry shows full detail, not just a one-line summary, and includes an Open button that jumps you straight to the project, meeting event, or training tracker the update came from

When there's nothing new, the panel shows all caught up.

Customising your tiles

Open the gear icon → tap Edit next to Portal View to show or hide tiles you don't use frequently.

Top bar

The top bar shows:

  • Org name and your role badge
  • Connection status indicator (green dot = online)

QuickTask button

A pencil icon is pinned to the bottom-right of every screen, just above the gear icon. Hover or tap it to expand a Create QuickTask pill. Tapping the pill opens a two-step modal for creating action items, adding meeting comments, logging notes, or jumping to an inspection screen — all without navigating back to the portal home.

See QuickTask for full details.

Gear icon (Appearance panel)

The gear icon at the bottom-right is available on every screen — the portal home and all subscreens. It opens the Appearance panel where you can switch themes, adjust font size, manage notifications, and replay the guided tour.

Updates

When a new version of OneSiteKit is deployed, the app detects the update in the background and reloads automatically within a few seconds. Any form data you have open may be cleared, so complete or save your work before navigating away if an update banner appears.
