Environment Portal

The Environment tile manages environmental inspection points across your site — logging readings, photos, and remediation status for water, air, soil, or any other parameter your site is required to track.

Logging an inspection

  1. Open Environment from the portal
  2. Select the monitoring point
  3. Record the inspection:
    • Measured values
    • Remediation level: None, Warning, or Urgent
    • Photos documenting the condition
    • Notes
  4. Submit — the record is stored with a timestamp, your name, and location accuracy

Remediation tracking

Each inspection point has a running remediation log. When an issue is found, remediation notes can be appended to track what actions were taken and when. The most recent severity level is shown on the point's status badge.

Overdue alerts

Points that haven't been inspected within the configured frequency are flagged as overdue. Email alerts can be sent to configured subscribers when readings are out of range or urgency level is high.

Viewing history

Select any monitoring point to view its full inspection history — readings, photos, remediation notes, and submitter records — filterable by date.

Admin view

Admins manage monitoring points from the Environment admin panel:

  • Add, edit, and archive monitoring points
  • Configure inspection frequency (daily, weekly, etc.)
  • Set up email alert subscribers by urgency level (Warning vs. Urgent)
  • Bulk import monitoring points via CSV
  • Export inspection data for regulatory reporting
